Food Team Management Leader

At Whole Foods Market, we're seeking an exceptional Food Team Management Leader to join our team. As a key member of our Prepared Foods department, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Foster a positive and welcoming environment for customers, responding promptly to their needs and questions.
• Team Leadership: Develop, motivate, and direct a high-performance team, promoting a culture of excellence and respect.
• Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, and regulatory compliance.
• Inventory Management: Maintain proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance customer satisfaction, team performance, and overall business results.
  Requirements:
  
  • Leadership Experience: 12+ months of team leadership experience in a retail environment.
  • Food Safety Certification: Must hold a valid food safety certification or be willing to obtain one within 6 months.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and customer relationship skills.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficient in assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.
    Working Conditions:
    
    • Lifting: Ability to lift 50 pounds.
    • Standing/Walking: Stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
    • Hand Use: Single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
    • Environmental Conditions: Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90 -F, and wet/dry conditions.
