The Shift Leader is the second in command after management and is considered a back-up manager in case of emergency. The Shift Leader supervises the shift from start to finish, ensuring that the team upholds Roti's high hospitality service and operational standards. The Shift Leader has a solid understanding of the staff's strengths and weaknesses and is capable of establishing solid working relationships with teammates. The Shift Leader acts as the connection between co-workers and management.The Essentials:

• Establishes R--ti standards and expectations with team members and always leads by example.
• Confidently and assertively engages the team by delegating tasks and follows up with team members to ensure proper execution.
• Effectively opens and closes the restaurant at least twice per week.
• Provides hands-on assistance in training and development of new and existing employees.
• Maintains a positive VIBE to ensure guests have an amazing experience.
• Understands that everyone's success is elevated by the success of those around them.
• Develops positive working relationships with all Team Members, remaining highly visible daily.
• Effectively handles customer issues - treats customers how you'd want to be treated!
• Ensures that fresh and flavorful food is served with care.
• Maintains restaurant cleanliness in accordance with company standards.
• Assures sanitation standards are maintained in accordance with State Food Safety, OSHA, and local health regulations.
• Ensures compliance with Health, Fire, Labor Department, and local municipalities.

  • Must have excellent hospitality & communication skills.
  • Previous restaurant management experience is preferred.
  • Able to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Experience with cash handling safety procedures and closing is a plus.
  • Ability to stand/walk for an entire shift (up to 35.0 hours/week).
  • Must be able to bend and reach overhead often, possess dexterity to handle cooking equipment, and work in varying kitchen temperatures.
  • Must be able to squat, lift, and push up to 50 lbs.The Perks:
